Paired Configuration

Overview

Paired configuration is a way of attaching a Maltego configuration to a particular seed and have this be discoverable when someone follows the seed discover process (see Seeds for more information on this).

Implementation (Maltego)

The initial stage of implementing a paired configuration is to export the current configuration from your Maltego. First setup your Maltego with the various entities, seeds, transform sets, machines and so forth as you would like. Once you have completed this you can export your config by selecting the globe icon (Application Icon) and then selecting export configuration as seen below:

You can select either a custom export or to export everything (as seen above). From here you can simply click next, next, finished as described by the following pictures:

Once this has been completed you no longer need to use the Maltego client as you will be able to configure everything from the TDS.

Implementation (TDS)

To add the configuration you have created with the above steps simply navigate to the "Paired Configurations" section of the TDS. From here you can simply create a new paired configuration. You can only have a single paired configuration per seed. An example of adding our previously exported configuration can be seen below:

Once you have added the paired configuration you can simply modify the seed(s) from the seed section to include the configuration:

After you have added the configuration you can simply follow the seed discovery process:
